I-275 Construction Will Impact Ramps to I-94
Drivers using I-275 to reach Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) should allow themselves extra time due to construction. The second year of the I-275 project is underway. Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) crews are rebuilding southbound I-275 from 6 Mile Road to Northline Road with both directions of traffic on the northbound side. There will also be bridge and ramp work on the southbound side.
Beginning Monday, July 11 at 5 a.m., Southbound I-275 ramps to eastbound and westbound I-94 will be closed. The construction may result in heavier traffic at the Eureka Road entrance to Detroit Metropolitan Airport. This phase of the 275 project is expected to continue through early August.
